Good Read // Feel the Fear...and Do It Anyway

Feel the Fear...And Do It Anyway, by Susan Jeffers

I am so into this self-help book from 1987. The title says it all: it's basically an elaboration on Susan Jeffers's direct command to "feel the fear...and do it anyway." At times she repeats herself, and it can start to feel like you're reading the same idea over and over again. But I think that's the point. And for me, it worked. I marked pages, underlined passages, asterisked statements like "If you haven't made any mistakes lately, you must be doing something wrong."

My Highlight:

Jeffers suggests to her readers to "take one risk a day--one small or bold stroke that will make you feel great once you've done it." I am really trying to do this: taking a risk a day; taking risks like vitamins :)
