Living and Letting Live

I can’t choose for anyone else.

I can’t change anyone’s mind. I can’t control anyone’s decisions. I can’t force anyone’s feelings.

Sometimes this is very hard to sit with.

•

But.

The only life I have authority over is my own.

It’s up to me to act according to my own sense of integrity, purpose, and compassion, and trust that leading with love is the best way, regardless of how anyone else chooses to move in this world.

That is work enough to keep me busy. 

As the saying goes,

live and let live.

It turns out these little clichés we’re raised on are some of the truest nuggets of wisdom after all.
